Good Morning everyone!
I hope you all are doing great, I'm sorry for being absent this past week. I've been sick with a virus that had me in bed for the entire last week, also, I had back pain that made it very hard for me to paint my nails.
I'm feeling much better and started working on my nails again, In the meantime please enjoy this Guest Post for my dear friend Marta from ChitChat Nails.

Good Morning everyone!

Hello Lovely Ladies,

My name is Marta and I run a Canadian nail art blog called ChitChat Nails.
I once again have the honour to guest post here for my dear friend Carolina; thought I have never met her in person, she has become one of my dearest friends and I am so pleased to be here (at least my nails are ;) ).
I decided to show you a signature skittlette manicure, with two of the OPI Pink of Hearts 2012 for Breast Cancer shades (that I actually got from Carolina).

Pinky and Thumb: Barielle One Shade of Grey
Pointer Finger: China Glaze Stone Cold
Middle Finger: OPI I Think in Pink stamped with a BornPretty Store plate QA18
Ring Finger: three coats of OPI You Glitter be Good to Me

I hope you like this look!
THANK YOU FOR READING!

Thank you very much Marta for this cute post!

Guest Post from The Lacquerologist

Please welcome Emily from The Lacquerologist, I hope you all enjoy the Guest Post she did for my blog.

♥♥♥
Hello lacquered loves!  This is Emily from The Lacquerologist!  I am so thrilled to be here on Colores de Carol today!  When Carolina contacted me about guest blogging for her, I was floored!  This is such an honor =)  I knew I wanted to do some fun nail art for this guest post, so I jumped in with some of my favorite new spring polishes!

I polished all of my nails except my pinky with three coats of Priti NYC Mermaid Rose from the Sherbet Collection.  This is such a phenomenal yellow shade!  The pink sparkle in it is wonderful.  I painted my pinkie with three coats of OPI Suzi's Hungary Again! from the Euro Centrale Collection.  Then, using a striping brush, dotting tool, and cosmetic sponge, I created the skittle nail art!  Once everything was dry, I sealed it in with Out the Door top coat.  I just can't believe how sparkly Mermaid Rose is!

This manicure makes me think of sipping pink lemonade on the porch on a warm summer day!  I just love these colors together.  Lately, I have been trying to expand my accent nail/skittle mani repertoire so I am pleased with how this one came out.  What do you think?

Again, thanks so much to Carolina for having me here today!  If you want to follow along with my nail art and polish adventures, you can check out my blog at [http://www.lacquerologist.com] and Facebook at [https://www.facebook.com/lacquerologist]!  <3

Thank you very much Emily for your beautiful post.

Guest Post from Lethal Lacquer

Good Morning everyone!
I hope you all had a good  Easter weekened!

Please welcome Sarah from Lethal Lacquer, I hope you all enjoy the Guest Post she did for my blog.

♥♥♥

Hey Guys! I am so honored to be here on Colores De Carol today! I was so thrilled when Carolina asked me to do a guest post because I am such a huge fan! Thank you so much for having me Carolina! If you don't already follow me on Instagram or my blog, I'm Sarah from LethalLacquer

Lately I have been on a major search for some perfect neon polishes for summer. It's like all I could think about polish wise. And of course I found them when I wasn't looking at Walmart! Here's what they look like:

I have never tried this DARE brand before but I couldn't pass these up for $7. Also, I was happy to read on the box that these are 3-free, cruelty free and made in the USA! Whoop! And I love how cute the bottles are!

For all of these swatches I did 2 coats of OPI-alpine snow under to make the neon really POP. They all dry matte but I wouldn't recommend leaving them that way because they are a little streaky. I topped them all with a coat of Seche Vite and it completely smoothed them out.

BOLD MOVE: A super bright neon pink. I did 2 coats of white and three coats of Bold Move. These dry super quickly so you need to move fast covering the whole nail. Also, don't get frustrated when they look a tad patchy because once you get the additional coats on and the top coat you can't tell at all. Other than that, the formula is great and the colors are insanely bright! My camera kinda of freaked out trying to capture the "neon-ness" so IRL they are a tad brighter.

HEATING UP: Bright neon orange. I'm not a huge fan of orange but I am loving this bright neon! The formula on this one was the same as the pink but I only had to do 2 coats of Heating Up over the white.

                                                                          So bright right??

Social Magnet: The brightest neon yellow! This one was my favorite!! The formula was great and not as patchy as the others and it is by far the brightest polish I own! I would buy the pack for this one by itself. WARNING: you might want to put on your sunglasses for this one. :)

 How perfect is this?

Natural Flirt: A fiery neon coral. The formula on this one was the hardest of all the polishes. It got much more clumpy and streaky, but still smoothed out with the Seche Vite. It is like the perfect combination of the pink and orange polishes.

I also decided to do a summer gradient with these! This is a look I will definitely be rocking a lot this summer. Nothing makes me happier than a bright, neon gradient :)

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. And thank you so much again Carolina!

Thank you very much Sarah for such a great post!

Most anticipated nails polish new trends for spring
Nail polish is a great way to make someone look beautiful and colorful. It gives a trendy and fashionable look for every woman. Nail polish is semi-liquid and is used for application of toenails and fingernails. It is also used to dress nails beautifully and sometime to protect nails. Nail polish is pure version of vehicles paint. Paints for car are not suitable for human nails as its formula is brittle and designed for rigid surface of car or other vehicles. This nail colors and nail polishes are made with different formulas and different composition so that it can prevent cracking that occurs due to nail movements.

Nail polish is actually formed by composition of nitrocellulose with butyl acetate or, or sometime colored with different pigments. Main components of nail polish are resins, silver halide, plasticizers, etc. Plasticizers are chemicals for linking between polymer chains to make the nail polish flexible after drying. To give a sparkling effect sparkling particles like mica is used. To make a nail polish toluene is also used. Water-based nail polish and nail-color are made using acrylic polymers. Proper composition of nail polish gives a great way to make good polish and a new trend for spring.

Guest Post- Mara from Mara in Polishland

Good Morning Beauties!
Today, Mara from  Mara in Polishland blog is here, showing you her beautiful swatches. I met Mara not so long ago via twitter and we became good friends. When I asked her to do a Guest post she immediately said Yes!
Mara is a sweetheart from Argentina, we share the same passion for nail polish and she's an amazing blogger.
After reading this post, I invite you to check out her blog and look all the beautiful swatches she has done.

♥♥♥
When Carolina invited me to do a guest post for her blog, I think I almost cried!! I totally love her blog, but the most important thing is that she's a wonderful person, very very generous... and that's why I'm here today!

I love polish collections based on movies, so when I saw that Deborah Lippmann was going to have  a set for Snow White and the Huntsman I was really excited!
She tried to capture the opposites of the story, so we have a soft shade and a deep vampy color.

Prelude To a Kiss is a almost white soft pink. It's sheer but buildable in three coats. Very femenine and soft. Formula was excellent, not streaky at all.
I used three coats for the photos below, without top coat.

Dark Side of the Moon is a dark eggplant purple. Extremely shiny and almost jelly like. I used to coats, again without top coat. It was very difficult to get a picture without my reflection haha!!

Having both colors together invited me to play a little with the contrasts of Snow White and the Evil Queen... And this framed manicure was born! Please be kind, it was my first time!!

Deborah Lippmann is one of my favorite brands, I think the quality of the formula and the innovation in the colors make the price a little less painful. I only wished she made new colors for the set!! Prelude for a Kiss and Dark Side of the Moon are part of her permanent collection and I already had both. Buying the set is less expensive, so if you like the colors, it's a good deal! And if you want only one, you don't need to spend in both!

I love fantastic literature and movies... Do you think these colors reflect the spirit of Snow White? Have you ever bought a polish because of the theme and not only the color?

Thanks for reading and thanks again Carolina for this awesome opportunity!!

♥♥♥
I absolutely adore Mara's manicure, she did stunning Framed Nails!!
Mara, you are very welcome, I'm pretty sure that all my readers enjoyed your post.
Thank you for being  here today!

Hello Lovely Ladies!!!
My name is Marta and I have a little Canadian nail polish blog called ChitChat Nails.  This is the second time that Carolina has asked me to do a guest post for her and I am just as honored this time as I was the first.  Carolina has become a very dear friend to me (as well as continuing to be one of my everything-nail-polish-related mentors).  I feel as thought I am among friends here on her blog.  This doesn't mean that I wasn't nervous when thinking up an idea for this manicure.  I knew I couldn't match Carolina's creativity, nor her stamping skills... so I decided to revamp a Black, White & Bronze manicure I did a while back on my own blog.  I really like this color combination, so much so that I decided to use this guest post as an excuse to wear it again ;) .
I started out with one coat of Misa "I Will Survive".  I then stamped with Sally Hansen "Whirlwind White" and Red Angel plate RA-109.  The accent nails, as well as the dotted details, are done with China Glaze "Harvest Moon".
I used some BornPrettyStore flat-back pearls on the accent nails as well.
I hope you like this look!
Carolina, your blog is always filled with creative looks and a passion for nail polish that is quite hard to find elsewhere.  Thank you for allowing me to share my work with your wonderful readers :D

Thank you Marta, your talent and creativity are amazing.

I hope you enjoyed this post and please don't forget to check out Marta's blog to see more awesome manicures.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great week!

Impressions of your nail polish, by Kelly Marsh

The other day I was contacted by Kelly, she offered to write an article for my blog related to nail polish. I hope you enjoy reading her article and leave your thoughts and ideas on the comment section.
Thank you,

Impression of your nail polish
A well-manicured hand with the perfect stylish nail polish would be enough to make a style statement in itself. When you're out buying cosmetics, then the most likely you would buy in bulk would be nail polishes, and these days you have a wide palette of colors to choose from. From funky electric blue to a cool misty pink - there are so many shades and hues that you can buy to make your nails look absolutely stunning. Nail art is quite catching on these days, with the numerous creative possibilities of making your nails a work of art. From decorating them with glitter and crystals, to painting them in two different colors in unimaginable combinations and variations - your nails can really make a lasting impression on the beholder!
Instead of buying countless bottles of exquisite colors and stuffing them in a bag or drawer, the best thing to do would be to buy yourself a nail polish rack to show-off your colorful possessions in style, plus it would also be convenient for you to know which colors you have. If you are not able to find a nail polish rack, then you could perhaps make one or even get one made. Nail polish racks save you the pain of having toss out all the little bottles in order to find the color you need, as they are displayed in a neat and visible manner.
A lot of ladies strongly believe that expensive salons can only get you the desired effect on your nails - but that is not true! You don't need to spend a lot of money in expensive salons to have the perfect nails, as there are so many DIY kits that you can get in the stores that can give you the perfect French manicure or even add more glitz to your nails with some neat nail art! The latest in the range of nail polishes that give you a quick nail art effect are the spectacular crackle nail polishes that dry fast and also give a brilliant crackled effect.
Just get yourself a lighter base coat and a darker crackle color nail paint to give the perfect look. You can play around with colors to match your dress or even your handbag. Go in for the safe combinations first and then go wild with your creations, once you get used to the application. There are so many other easy nail art you can do at home by using a few crystals and glitter that you can stick with glue and then seal off with a top coat. Try and experiment to create the most unique nails at home with a few bright colors and imagination!
Buy trusted brands nail polishes and also do remember to take off nail paint once a while to give your nails a breather! Nail polishes can be fun, glitzy and stylish - and you can create a lasting impression with colors on your nails! Play with your imagination and create the most wonderful combinations and impress your friends with your nails!
